Welcome to the Island Slope Rebels website
Image

The Island Slope Rebels (ISR) was set up to promote radio control soaring in Ireland. As the name suggests we do a lot of slope soaring! Sloping makes up the main percentage of the flying, along with flat field and electric flight. We fly a little bit of everything from EPP wings to fully molded scale ships. The majority of our online activity takes place on the Irish Model Forum. Here you'll find lots of posts about all aspects of RC gliding. If you have a gliding related question, need help with a model,  looking for slopes or pilots in your area or just want to share your enthusiasm for soaring. Then this is the place to start!

While we do have members all over the country the largest group are on the east coast and fly regularly in the Dublin area and at Mt Leinster.

The Island Slope Rebels is a MACI (Model Aeronautics Council of Ireland) affiliated club. Which means glider flyers wishing to join the MACI and be insured, can do so through the ISR.
As all the places we fly are public and we have no field to rent and keep there is no fee for joining the Island Slope Rebels.

If you are interested in joining the ISR or finding out more about us or where we fly. Contact us at on the Irish Model Forum, or better still come visit us on the slope!
